TOTAL ENERGIES NIGERIA PLC. EXTENDS CSR TO FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE

Total Energies had identified with the Federal Fire Service to support in fulfilling her mandate of saving lives and property by extinguishing, control and prevention of fire outbreak through adequate preparedness for impact reduction. As part of her Corporate Social Responsibility Scheme, Total Energies on Thursday 11th August 2022, extended her philanthropic gesture to the Federal Fire Service’s Apapa Station through the construction of a Ten Thousand litres capacity overhead tank with stanchions, donation of Six units adult double bunk beds with accessories/ mattresses, pillows and bed linen. The station’s recreational room, watch room and rest room were also painted by TotalEnergies .The Ten Thousand litres capacity overhead tank will aid easy refilling of fire appliances for a quick turn out in the case of emergency, thereby reducing fire impact. In his words the Executive General Manager, TotalEnergies, Country Secretary, Bunmi Popoola Mordi stated that, the facilities are meant to boost the productivity of the Service and improve their relaxations in the Station. During his opening remarks, the Controller, Federal Fire Service, Zone F, South West, Lagos Command ACG C. E. NJOKU through his Operational Controller, AC ODUYELU while appreciating the Company’s initiative extended the regards of the Controller General of the Service to TotalEnergies and requested the extension of such gestures to other Stations in Lagos Command and Nigeria at large.
