The Controller General, Federal Fire Service, Engr Jaji O. Abdulganiyu MIFire.E MNSE COREN yesterday gave a warm welcome to the Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and his entourage during his working visit to the Service’ headquarters. In his welcome address he described the Honourable Minister as a technocrat par excellence with the requisite resume to deliver on the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration’s “renewed hope” agenda.
The CGF while reeling out the challenges of the Service, expressed confidence that the Hon Minister would use the might and influence of his good office to help resolve some if not all of the Service’ issues.
Engr Jaji on behalf of the Service therefore pledged unalloyed loyalty to the office of the Honourable Minister to work together in achieving his set out promises to Nigerians, particularly, in the area of fire and other related emergencies.
The Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo in his response, showered encomium on the officers and men of the Service for their sacrifice in saving lives and property, adding that firefighting is too integral to be excused.
Hon. Tunji-Ojo also pledged to deliver the” Renewed Hope” agenda of the President Bola Tinubu GCFR to the Service especially in the areas of response time, training, infrastructure, budget improvement, establishment of Corporate Headquarters amongst others.
