Speaking also at the event, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Barr Geogina Ehuriah lauded the unending support President Buhari is giving to paramilitary agencies in the Ministry in which FFS is one. In her words “Since the current administration came to power in 2015, the Federal Fire Service has continued to enjoy improved funding which has changed the face of the Service from a hitherto moribund institution with dilapidated and outdated fire trucks and accessories to a Fire Service equipped with modern firefighting trucks”

Barrister Ehuriah also urged men and women of the Service to re dedicate themselves to hard work in order to ensure improved service delivery to Nigeria in the area of fire prevention, firefighting and safe guarding of lives and property.
