Having fulfilled the conditions for promotion and advancement, the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire & Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has approved the promotion of 1, 680 and Conversion/Upgrade of four Officers of the Service.In view of that, the Controller General, Jaji O. Abdulganiyu MIFireE. MNSE today decorated 73 senior Officers who were promoted from Superintendents to Chief Superintendents of Fire at the Service Headquarters, all of whom are currently serving at Commands within the FCT. Engr. Jaji expressed utmost appreciation to the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr Tunji Olubunmi-Ojo who also doubles as the Chairman of the Board, and other members of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire & Immigration Services Board for their salient roles in the upgrading of his Officers, says the elevation is of great significance to his administration.The CGF therefore advised them to brace up for higher responsibilities and challenges, and assured the officer’s wives of empowerment to help them be at par with wives of officers from sister agencies. Engr Jaji also added that henceforth promotion shall be based on prequalification obtained by passing specified training tests relative to each grade level and discipline.
