ARMED FORCES COMMAND & STAFF COLLEGE JAJI AND FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE REINFORCES DETERMINATION TO FOSTER RELATIONSHIP

The Commandant of Armed Forces Command & Staff College (AFCSC) Jaji ably represented by Brg Gen I A. Ajose, Director of Administration, paid a courtesy visit to the Controller General of Federal Fire Service, Engr Jaji O. Abdulganiyu MIFire.E MNSE at the Service HQ today, 3rd of November 2023. The visit was a stem from the need to collaborate on more training, fire prevention and reinforcing the pre-existing relationship between both agencies. The Commandant expressed his appreciation to the Service for the working relationship it has had so far with AFCSC and requests for the deployment of firefighting Truck to augment the current firefighting infrastructural deficit in the College. In response, Engr Jaji assured him of efforts to be applied to ensure that an intervention comes through with the Hon Minister of Interior’s permission. He also motioned the delight he enjoys due to the trainings that the prestigious College offers men and officers of the Federal Fire Service.The Armed Forces Command and Staff College is a Joint Service institution established to produce operational-level military officers of the highest professional standard as well as to ensure standardization of Staff Duties in the Nigerian Armed Forces. The College was established on 29 May 76 as Army Command and Staff College, with assistance from the British Army Advisory Team (BAAT).The College has since continued to meet the objectives of developing the knowledge and understanding of selected officers of the 3 Services of the Nigerian Armed Forces including the Federal Fire Service and other sister agencies as a means of preparing them for increasing responsibilities.
